Post by: +RO@D*R@GE+ on March 12, 2015, 08:41:19 PM
So I've seen the new 120 ST engine it's putting out 106 hp and 117 tor. at the rear wheel also talks of this engine being the new cvo engine....what is everyone hearing?

With twin cooled technology introduced in '14, I wouldn't expect a change in the CVO powertrain for a while, I think we may see the new SE 585 cam in the TC 110 before the 120ST is a thought

Have not heard any rumors yet.......but I think the 120ST will be the next CVO motor. The 110 has been around for a while now and there is more competition to contend with. JMHO.

but you didn't get that right out of the box.  why would you expect the 120st to do better than that right out of the box?

Oh, I don't know, maybe because it's 17 cubic inches (253 cc's) larger. Maybe because it's not a standard production motor. Maybe because my 103 hasn't even had an head work. Lotta maybes

Since my 103 used to belong to CVO JOE and JCZ and many others on this forum are familiar with Joe and the techs who does (did) his work, I think if you are referring to my claims of 124ftlbs and 113hp you'd better recant. You are casting aspersions on a lot of people who value their reputations.

A 120ST with similar mods could be a very interesting power plant indeed.
