Solo saddle recommendation for one up 2015 RGU
« on: May 26, 2016, 07:50:15 AM »

After converting to the detachable Tour Pak (thanks DaveFLTSI), I'm looking for recommendations for a one up saddle that dimensionally and comfort wise closely matches the original two up saddle.  I bought and tried the LePera Monterrey.  Nicely constructed and it provides the back support I was looking for but I now sit so low that my knees are above my ass and my tailbone area hurts after 20 miles.  It also makes stop and go a lot more stressful because I'm closer to the pavement.

Suggestions appreciated!

I run a corbin Solo on mine.  I have the rider back rest.  It is lower by about 1.5" than the stock seat.  So I do not think its what your looking for.  It is a very firm seat, but I prefer that.

I think the Mustang solo is a little higher.  I know its softer, I have one on my fatboy.  Might be worth it to look at their seats.

Thanks, Dave.  I think you're 100% right about the lower position.  I'm not that tall--6'2"--but I don't want to sacrifice seat height.  I had the Mustang Solo and let it go with my last bike.  I'm going to check the HD catalog because whoever built the stock seat for the 2015 RGU has my ass figured out!

Cheers.
