I don't know how most people here feel, but WTF is that stupid "gold" key for anyway?  Do they have some value when you sell your bike?

I wish HD would drop the key and invest the cost in a better crank shaft, compensator, headlight, or even a chrome starter.

Am I missing something regarding the value of the gold key?

Nothing from nothing = nothing... It's not even gold it's brass... value... = nothing.

Wow, never thought the KEY to getting folks worked up was a dumb, ol' key discussion. It's not about the key, it's the principle of the idea that things you come to expect for $30,000 plus.  You can't tell me that you would prefer a polishing cloth instead of something that will last like a "gold" key...brass or not. While I would like the money spent on something more tangible as mechanical improvements, the fact is we all bought into the CVO deal or we wouldn't be on this site. That tells me the MOCO is selling everything they make....to us and we keep buying. If it is that bad a product, why did we buy it?  I, for one enjoyed recieving the key along with a wonderful motorcycle. Don't mean it's perfect but sure beats any of the alternatives :bananarock:

I like my brass key... :-*..it's purty and unlocks my saddlebags with ease.  And hasn't tarnished or faded a bit in years of use.   ;D har.  spyder
