Buzzing Noise under the Tank
« on: May 06, 2005, 05:31:01 PM »

To start off with no its not a banana gone wild.

Actually my new 05 SEEG 5k miles had the bolts that go to the motormount and the hold horn on had both come VERY loose.   Threads away from loosing them.   I also checked the 04 SEEG 9k miles and they were also loose there.    Not sure how common this is, but just thought some of you might want to check yours as well.

low 80's and sunny this weekend and going riding :)

Yes Don it was the upper mount that both bolts were loose on.

The bike had just been in for a service and would have thought... prolly the worst possible persumption here...... that they would have gone through this at the 5k check.   Guess that is what I get for thinking and leaving it to someone else.   Just glad I was persistent and made them find the noise vs. just riding off a 2nd time.

I will go check the front one right now, just because my picture seems to loom daily under Murphy's Law as a permanent keepsake.
