Teal Pin striping color SEEG '05
« on: September 29, 2005, 01:16:48 PM »

I have found a PPG dealer that has the "dark and light" teal H-D color listed but was wondering is the pin striping the light teal color or is that different.
Also what PPG color is the silver used on the bike?
I have been looking at the bike trying to figure it out and the color looks close, but not exactly the same. Of course, it could be due to lighting and the fact that the pin striping is on the dark teal color.
I had a mishap this weekend where a dope pullled out in front of me and I had to lay it down. Same old story, he looked right at me and pulled out with no directional. To make matters worse he a newbie on a wannabee.
40,000 miles on H-D bikes since 2001 and THIS had to happen. Be careful out there and wear your skid lid. Mine saved my life.

I'm looking at repainting the tank with a big silver screamin' Eagle on each side, instead of the stock paint. Something close the SE V-rod paint job from this year would look good.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. I'll be OK, just pretty sore and bruised.

The SEEG took mostly metal damage. inner/outer fairing, front fender, tank and one saddlebag. H-D SE painted parts are very expensive, but everyone is insured all around. Approx. 8000 in parts at list price, OUCH

Sorry to read of the accident Tim.  Just glad you're ok.  That's most important.

If you're really thinking about playing with the paint some what about doing something like the eagle and swoosh that was on the fairing of the SE Road Glides on the side of the tank?

Yes. I was going to collect a few of the Screamin Eagle logos and let my painter come up with a design. The Road Glide graphic was good, I remember that one. I'll bet I can find some pictures on Ebay from bikes for sale.
Thanks!
