Title: Tourque cam for 107 & 114
Post by: Kclarke on June 11, 2018, 09:01:33 PM
I want a Tourque cam for my 114. Only one is listed in the Harley catalog.  Is the same cam used for both the 107 & 114, or do you have to specify when ordering ? My local Shop says it's the same but it just doesn't seam right to me.

Just entered a dyno shootout with the torque cam in my CVO, pulled 107hp 130Tq, love the cam

Do you still have the Harley pipes or you changed them, and what Tuner do ya have.  Just curious. I have the Harley Tuner and Auto Tuner with Fullsac pipes and slip ons.  With a heavy breather.  Wondering if mine will pull about the same.

Have the V&H head pipe and power duals, went through 3 tuners, V&H, Power Vision and the last time it was tuned with a TTS tuner, and it has the heavy Harley breather on it.

I would love to know about your tune.  Can you post the dyno chart.

I have the Harley auto tune in it right now.  When my warranty goes away I’ll put a TTS in it. According to Harley it should put out 114hp/ 115 ft lbs tourque. I may get a little more because I have a Fullsak pipe and CVO power core on it.  No need to spend the money on the dyno with the auto tune though.  I will have to when I go with a TTS.  I’m curious also.

Just sold my 17
Did have the torque cam in it.
For what my opinion is worth, I liked it.
Thought it made a nice difference.
Did sell the bike due to sumping problems at 7,400 miles.  UGH
Hope this helps

That's around 6 hp and 12tq more than any other bike with the Torque cam I know of.  Mine included.    The usually pull 96-101hp / 115-118tq

That’s what I had thought from reading Harley’s Graph they put out 100hp 115 tq. Thought maybe I read it wrong. But guess not.  That’ll be about what I want to get out of it.   Thanks everyone for the comments.

Nice. Thank you for posting.   What all do ya have as far as pipes, Tuner, etc.  I went with the Harley Auto Tuner to maintain my warranty, then a Fullsac header and Fullsac slipons with a Heavy  Breather.   So I didn’t have to dyno it.  I’m just curious on about what my bike is pushing.

V&H Power Duel head pipe, RC components slip on's, HD Heavy Breather, TTS Tuner, Torque cam  (HD dealer went to Tman performance for help on the tune) and some very, very mild head clean up work, just had it on another dyno, i pulled 106 and 127, so yea, I'm pretty dang happy with the way it is right now

I just bought the HD torque cam for my 2017 114"
Is the Dyno chart fairly typical? The torque curve is not very flat. Do others peak and drop off like that?

Question,... why is everyone opting for the torque cams ... l would think power cams for the reason that you want the power when on the highway ... l like that the power cams come in around 3,000 rpms and thats right where your at when on the highway going thru elevations and twisties ... l would think the torque cams would be more an off the line , light to light thinking ... thx in advance for any reply's ...

I can't answer for everyone, but the reason why I fitted the TQ cam is that both cams make the same HP and Torq.  The TQ cam makes torq from 2500rpm and the Power cam does make torq until 4000.
