Title: Gunship Shark for Ghost Flames Glide
Post by: ZVO on June 20, 2018, 01:07:30 PM
Been really thinking about this...my 16 CVO Street Glide is amazing but I can’t stop thinking about the GunShip Road Glide. What to do?

you only live once..... you can't take it with you....  you gotta do what makes you happy.....

how many more do i need to give you?  if it doesn't put you in an adverse financial position, go for it.  post pics  :2vrolijk_21:

now you'll be able to change your comment line, 'holding out for a m8' is going to soon be outdated   :2vrolijk_21:

btw, i really dug the ghost flames cvo.  if only it was available as a road glide.....

Congrats on your decision!!

Those 2018 Gunship Gray Road Glides almost have a "cult" like following which I for one think is kinda cool. How about a new name like GunShark for these rad rides?

Most all the sumping is bike that have Stage III or IV kits.  A few stock ones have done it, but not near as many.

I put 21K trouble free miles on my 17 CVO Street Glide.  I have 10K trouble free miles on my 18 CVO Road Glide, Gunship Gray.

5000 mile on my gunship gray shark just got back from Laconia 1400 mile in 4 days last day just over 500 miles 10 hrs on the bike no problem . performs very good cruising between 70 and 85. only complaint is suspension which will be taken care of over the winter. Good choice on the bike best of luck.

… and please tell us about your custom rear speaker grills.  It appears that you also had the passenger backrest re-covered as well.  You may want to share the details on this thread???   https://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=66361.0

PS - Congrats on your beautiful new ride ZVO.

for suspension i'll be going with ohlin357 in the rear and not sure yet for the front might start with ricor intiminators. As far as back tour seat and speaker boxes I had purchased a used backrest from ebay for $60.00 had it custom recovered by Montclair auto upholstery  speaker lids as well ,speaker boxes are just storage and charging outlets each side didnt need speakers but i didnt like the open look under backrest arms.
