… and they're talking US dollars from the Chicago Auto Show, so you can just imagine what the tag will be here in Canada.
I didn't even notice any CVO badges! ;D
-
Not a Ford guy or a 1/2 ton guy but that looks sweet. Can't take the money with ya why let the kids blow it after you are gone?
-
I remember seeing those outside the the Harley museum during the 115th, don't remember seeing a price on them. But that is a lot of money. Don't think I would spend that on a 1/2 ton either.
-
Basically you're buying an F150 with HD graphics, some trim paint, floor mats, etc. No thanks.
-
SERIOUSLY......$100k ????? What are they smoking
-
I talked to one of the sales guys at the Milwaukee 115. These are aftermarket trucks not something produced by Ford. There are some really cool one-offs like the exhaust tips look like the defiance tips on a CVO, unique wheels, interior and the list goes on. Now $100k is not for me but there is a market for them I’m sure.
-
Why would anyone pay that for a 1/2 ton pickup; for $85K - $100K you can get a top of the line F350 dually diesel loaded with every option possible. Even that's too much, just ask me :-\

Everyone here has been paying the HD tax for years. They figured that they can milk it in the auto market too.
I wonder what the resell value is going to be. I suspect that the extra HD premium is going to be lost.
Living in West Texas, a black truck is the last color I would ever want.
And pickup tracks, in general, have gotten outrageously priced too.
Will sanity every return?
 :nixweiss:

Being a Chevy guy that bleeds bow-ties I think they did a great job on this. Of coarse for me a Knockout wheel pkg. as opposed to the Fatboy wheel would have put it over the top. 8)

While it looks cool, and they have it in other colors, way to much money for a 1/2 ton.
Pick up truck prices have gone insane.
-
I agree the half ton p/u trucks are getting way too pricey! The top of the line big three are all at the $70k
mark! With discounts I believe they run about $60k! Now lets compare what you get compared to a $44k Ultra CVO!
I REST MY CASE!!!! The only way any of them come down in price is if no one buys them! You keep buying,
they keep raising the price!

;D Yup, I've been saying something similar for many years now. And yes, as long as people keep paying those outrageous prices (for anything), the folks selling them will keep jacking up the price. I still remember when pickup trucks were maybe 1/2 to 2/3rds the price of a car. Then someone decided to make pickups fancy and comfy at the same time the car market became dull and lifeless due to downsizing, the masses embraced the trucks, and the prices shot through the roof. Now we see people going into hock for eight years to buy a truck, and living at home with mom and dad because the truck payments eat up all their available funds.

I love Ford but at 100K not for me...

Crazy price.

Recently read an article about a auto dealer chain buying several Harley dealers. They asked why an auto dealer group would be buying Harley dealers, the response was that the car dealership owner liked riding the bikes and feels that Harley is much more than a motorcycle company, its a lifestyle. Harley customers buy Harley clothing and other products making the investment safer than a car dealership.
My point is that folks with big money believe Harley riders will always support anything with the Harley name because it's there lifestyle.
To me this is dangerous thinking. Remember when GM said something like "whatever we build America will buy" didn't work out so well. GM once owned the American auto industry, never will again.

Ricart buys A.D. Farrow...

Interesting! Here's a funny story. I bought my 2019 at the end of October from A.D. Farrow's Downtown Columbus store immediately after it had arrived off the truck and before it had even been PDI'd. I had been stopping in regularly and telling the salesman to call me when they got one in. Obviously when I saw the bike I had to have it :) While my wife and I were sitting at the table waiting for the paperwork to sign, someone came to the desk and said that Rick Ricart from Ricart Automotive was on the phone and wanted to purchase the same bike (My Bike.) The sales manager took the call and told him that they already had a deal on the table and that if the deal did not go through for some reason they would let him know. At the time I felt that they were telling the truth because I had already committed to buying the bike so there was no real reason to play games with me but I have never really been 100% sure about it. Now I am convinced that this was really going on.
Thanks for sharing the article!

I was really shocked when I saw the price. I’ve owned a 2000, 2002 and a 2007 HD F150. The 2000 was a step side bed. When they came out with the supercharged 2002 model (340 hp), I traded my 2000 on it. Both trucks handled the same. Obviously the 2002 was a lot quicker and one of my favorite vehicles I’ve ever owned.
That one I had a little over 5 years and then traded it for the 2007 model. This was also supercharged with 450 hp. This truck had a bad engine from new and was replaced. Plus Ford did a suspension change, this truck drove like it had 4WD. It was only 2WD, but when I parked it next to another F150 4WD, it was the same height. The supercharged trucks only came in 2WD.
So I was really interested when I saw a new one coming, but certainly not for $85,000+
They were a little pricey years ago, but I think this new truck is way over priced.
