I was more than a bit disappointed to find that '14s came with unchromed, unpolished front discs, when all my previous CVOs had chrome ones, so here's what an hour with a cheap polishing kit and an electric drill can do on the stock ones. Add HD's chrome bolts (though they come in sets of 5, and the FLHTKSE has seven, so you need to buy three sets!) to complete the effect.

Just what came with the kit - a coarse one first, then a fine finishing one.

I agree with you completely that they new bike was unfinished with those dull rotors. Were you able to do that with the wheels still on the bike?

No, no danger of that, but taking the wheel off (and taking the rotors off the wheel) takes 5 minutes.
