Pictures anyone?

Yep,,, I came off a 2010 Ultra Classic to this 2013 SERK. I liked the looks of the saddlebag guards. I use them to mount the guard bags on when on long trips to hold small items & my drink bottle. Not to mention they help protect the paint of the saddle bags from a minor mishap.

Yea, them are the rails installed. 93300061 & 9330062 are the part #s for the bags I mentioned that attach to the bars.

Fitted them to my 14 mainly for protection but I also like the look of them.

They must feed you well in the old country. I'm only 5'10" so might need the longer extension, pity I think the shorter one looks better

I went with the 360 degree mounting kit part no 50832-07A. I'm not sure I have found the optimum position yet as they feel different depending on whether I use the stock seat or my Sundowner seat when touring 2 up.

Waspe,   I'm 5' 10" & am very comfortable with the short extentions.

I would think most of us are concerned with the look of any add on's to our motor. I like the look.  That being said I added the guards to my bike for other reasons as well.
1. They protect the bag and the bike in case the bike falls over. (it will rest on engine guards and bag guards)
2. If the bike does fall, this is the perfect place to hold on to with one hand (the other on the handlebar) to raise the bike back up.

I understand the reasons for having them, and that many like the looks.  I personally do not like the looks and have not added them to the King.

I think they take away from clean lines, so much so, the Day I got my 15 CVO Road Glide Ultra I removed the rear bag guards.  My wife really likes them, so they went on her bike.

So none of my 3 bikes have the rear bag guards.
