Years ago I had felt that one day I too may have a CVO, I came to this site, joined and did a lot of reading, most times getting on as a visiter, not having a CVO myself I didn't do much more, feeling that one should have a CVO to understand the difference in the bikes and be able to make comments from a personal experience.
I've had a few Harley's, each one was a new bike starting with an 03 RKC, than a 08 Ultra Limited. Somehow decided to have 2 at one time so in 09 we got another RKC, It was fun having 2 cruisers, but the maintenance began to get old after a few years so we sold an old truck I was restoring, than both the bikes and bought a 2012 CVO Street Glide.
The paint and the stereo is what got our attention, Hot Citrus and the 200 amps. I ended up ordering the tour pac, rear floor boards, other odds and ends as well as the Wind splitter shield, everything about this bike was great until the ride home, no rear brakes, I could stand on the pedal and it barley made a difference, just some detail product it what they said. this led me down the road of a real lemon. The bike was in the shop for warranty almost every week. transmission noise, than a new transmission at 1800 miles, followed by new lifters, front wheel bearings, voltage regulator, radio, kick stand, rear tire and many other small things, after the rear amp died, All this in just a few months, The dealer bought the bike back, and I was left to sell off the add ons.
We went back to a 2013 Ultra Limited in the fall of 2012, so I waited and waited until the bad feeling went away.
In August of this year we stopped in a dealer 100 miles away while on a road trip, and began to work on a 2015 CVO Limited.
So far no problems
