The most likely reason for the current issues is the failure of the shop to properly clean every bit of metal from the first failure out of your engine. Make them pay for the upgraded parts if the ESP won't

On Saturday my 2012 Road Glide with 41,800 miles, never a issue, never had the engine modded or opened, destroyed itself from the inside, cam area they said. Covered by ESP with new engine. Went and got me a 2018 RG today. Hope that doesn't happen on a trip, I was heading to Sturgis.

In Jan/Feb I decided buying an extended plan would be a good idea, so I did.  That'll last for 5 years.  Should be ready for a new bike by then.

2013 with about 18K on it. Opened it up and everything looks great, I wasn't expecting that. I haven't spilt the cases yet that will be tomorrow, but I don't suspect that I will find anything bad in there either. Almost nothing stock is going back in when goes back together. Every time I pull an engine apart that has been run on a steady diet of regular maintenance and synthetic oil I am impressed. I am not saying that is why things look good I just got lucky, but good oil and maintenance didn't hurt.

Having ESP is a great idea on 110s.  If you haven't seen the many posts on here about 110 lifters going bad and taking out the whole engine, and the vacation with it, it would be worth it to check out the topic.  One bad lifter can ruin your whole day.

29,000 on my 07, the first year the 110's came out, Only thing I have changed is the Exhaust and installed a Thunder Max.
