Reverse Bleed Hydro clutch?
« on: April 27, 2016, 01:29:52 PM »

I recently had my clutch cover off my 04 seeg and need to fill the hydro clutch back up. Can't I reverse bleed this just like brakes? Push fluid in at the bleeder and fill it all the way up to the top level on the reservoir?

Unsure about reverse bleeding but I do know that the clutch master cylinder fluid level is the exact opposite of the brake master cylinder.  As brake pads wear the fluid level in the mc drops but in the clutch wear causes the fluid level to rise.  So don't overfill the clutch mc or you will have problems.

Well I did the reverse bleed and it worked somewhat. In the end it was best to open the banjo bolt a few times after 5 pumps each. I think I did this 4 times or so. then I pumped 5 times and did the bleeder. Did this 3 times. Everything looks good with no air bubbles so I put the cover on and it was all good. Have better clutch pull then before. Not quit as soft.

Brakes are up next! Then Drago exhaust. Button up a few other small things and hopefully she's on the road.
