I've got a pair of X-Street waterproof shoes. Nice riding shoes when it's hot outside.
The only thing that is not so good about them is poor grip when there is gravel on the black top....

I love the TCX 24/7 boot line and actually have a pair of the X-Blend in Brown and the Hero which is much like the X-Blend with a medial entry zipper. They are completely waterproof and incredibly comfortable. If there is any complaint is on a very hot day they are also hot. On those days I wear a ICON Tarmac 2 unbelievably comfortable and supportive.

MrSurly, it looks like you found your boot. But if you are still curious about the FXRG3, I run with those and since we're both in East Texas, I'd be happy to meet-up to let you inspect. Just wear clean socks that day!

Not far from you...Lake Tyler East. Gonna use our good weather day to terrorize the streets today.

A further follow up on the TCX Fuel boots. I am in the habit now of wearing them often just for general use. Still comfy. If the offered s Safety Toe, I'd just throw my other boots away.
Anyway, I found one other interesting aspect to compare.
Im building a metal building shop at my place and I found that of all my boots and shoes, the TCX boots offer the best grip while working on the metal roof. It seems a silly thing but it can help  a lot when riding. They have great grip!

Interesting. I wore a pair of TCX Fuel boots today for first time and really liked them, but soles seem a little slippery to me. Probably will get better after a few rides.
