The Yaffe is a great alternative but the holes that need to be drilled will never be seen and for Washington and a whole lot of other states MC plates the Kury frame allows the month and year stickers to be seen and have proper and legal placement.

I am sort of fighting the same issue. I went with the custom dynamics solution. I didn't go with the Yaffe Stealth License Frame because I think it's just butt ugly and too expensive. If it had a square hole rather than that oval it might suit me better.

Everybody has there own opinions which is why there are options.  I have used the Yaffe on my 12, 13, 17 and now my 18.  I have never had an issue and ride my bikes all over the country.  You can see the month and year.

For a while there was on two options seems there are more now.  The one Rayson is using looks very nice.  I just can't bring my self to drill holes in painted parts.

Dave, in a lot of states like Washington the tab placement on the plate is mandatory. On the Washington plate for example the month tag MUST be on the far right of the lic. plate numbers/letters. The year tab MUST be at the top right like in the picture therefore the Yaffe plate frame just will not work for some state applications because of the oval shaped frame.

See the attached example;

I did say your plate frame looks good, I like it.  I just will not drill holes.

I understand what you are saying.  In TN the stickers are to be on the lower left Month and the lower right Year and tag number.  Mine are move in very slightly.

As long as the officer can read it they will not hassle you.  I have been riding with a Yaffe plate frame since Fall of 2011.  I have rode in almost every state, all of them west of the Mississippi River except Alaska.

Here is a photo of my new bike from last Monday. It was the nicest day of the year here so far with record breaking temperatures over 70! I also made it over the 2000 mile mark which isn't bad considering my work schedule and the crap weather we've had here since I picked up my new ride at the end of November.

Yay daylight saving time and come on Spring!!

Monkey Bars and oil cooler fan have been installed. I received my new engine guard and fairing support brackets today and I'm still awaiting the arrival of my Vivid Black fairing lowers.  :2vrolijk_21:

Did you order just the fan or the fan kit?

I ask as I recall someone posting the part number for just the fan. I haven't done enough research to know what all I need.

The original part # for the "fan only" that Jerry found for us awhile back is now the part# for the fan kit Mike.

When I traded my 2011 SESG in for my new 2018 SERG I kept my tour pak. The Black Diamond color is fairly close for as seldom as I use it. So at least for now with the other (necessary) upgrades I've done, and plan to do, it makes $en$e to utilize the one that I have. With that said, there is a clearance issue for the saddlebag lids on the new Rushmore bikes to be able to use the non Rushmore Tour Paks. My fix for the problem was to use the black shiny rubberised material from a big rig mudflap found at any truckstop. I happened to have a pair that I bought new to use on top of my work bench at home. The attachment end of the mudflap in this case is about 2' across and about 2" wide at the top so I cut that piece off and then cut it in half lengthwise to give me 2)  12" x 2" x 5/16ish" spacers. These placed between the tour pak and quick release rack (front to back) make for a good solid mount and  vibration isolators and most importantly give the spacing for the lids that is needed.

Sweet ride! Adding the “old” crashbar vs the newer/narrower bar, will you lose any lean angle?
