Vibration with RH and SERT ? Daytona
« on: February 27, 2007, 05:14:03 PM »

All SERK 's

First posting , have a BI with RH true duals and SERT ( 96HP , 115HP at crank ) by HD Tampa . Sound  is awesome , fit superb , but the vibration is noticeably worse , left hand is worse  is this common? Previous had a FB with VH short shots and no problem .

Appreciate any comments , also anyone going to Daytona , my band are playing at Wise Guys on 4 nights ( ACDC tribute ) maybe a good place to meet up and gloat how beautiful the SERK's are .

Cheers all and thanks for a great site

Welcome Welshman!  I just joined myself, after lurking for a while.

Those are some great numbers for only a pipe/tuner mod (compared to other numbers I've seen posted).  My SERK is currently in the shop getting RH TDs and SERT installed, and I'm hoping to get to where you are.  The brake lever didn't fit for me though, so it will be a week or so before I can get it back (had to order an aftermarket lever).  Once I get it back, I'll take note of any vibration issues.

You note that your previous bike was a fat boy. That bike has the B motor with the counterbalance in it. Maybe you are not used to the dyna rubber mount motor. Just a thought.

dyna rubber mount motor

 :nixweiss:

If you're used to the counterbalanced B motor from the softail line...these will definately let you know they're under ya.

Enjoy the ride.
