« on: February 23, 2019, 01:50:35 AM »

2015 flhxse will my cable and wires work (enough slack) without extended wire and cables? will i need to change to handle bar mirrors? looks like on the bikes i see the fairing mounted mirrors are useless!

When I did my 12 sg, I had to change cables and add to the wires.   Stuart.

I had 12.5” Wild One Chubby’s on my ‘12 FLHTK and had to use wire extrentions but was able to use fairing mounted mirrors. On my ‘17 CVO Limited I installed 10” Wild One Chubby’s and did not have to extend any wires or cables. I was at my local dealer yesterday and the Drag rep was there showing them a new set of 12”  bars made by Fat Baggers. Good looking bars and he said the 12” will fit without extensions. He said they are a “true” 12” bar so I think they are a little shorter than some other manufacturers of 12” bars.
Good Luck....

Put 12" yaffe's on my 2015. Lines all reached fine, but had to lengthen the wires a bit. Some good you tube vids out there.

The Rushmores have longer cables than the previous models and they should be fine with 10" or 12". The stock wires can be used if you want to reroute wires. I bought 8" wire extensions to simplify things.

On my 2008 Flhx, I had Wild 1 WO 578 10” apes.  Stock fairing mirrors were useless after bars went on.  I think you’ll be okay with 12” bars if using stock fairing mirrors, but always good to check first.  100’s of pics on internet with what your looking for.  Most 10” bars line right up with fairing mirrors making them useless....hope this helps.

I never did like the fairing mirrors. I went a little extreme. Had the holes plugged and painted. Came out great but pricey.   Stuart.

I put Yaffe 14" Monkey bars on my 2017 CVO Street glide.  If I know I used the stock clutch and break cable, just rerouted them.  I am pretty sure I used factory wires also.  The fairing mirror worked just fine with the 14" bars.
