FNG from Roswell, GA. Bought my first HD in Feb. 05; an '04 FLHTPI with 4,750 miles because I wasn't sure if I would like riding (after a 40 year hiatus--I'm not old, just no longer young) and wanted a relatively inexpensive (have since learned there is no such thing in a Harley) touring bike. 40,000+ miles later I know I will never be without a HD touring bike and am now considering buying an '06 Autumn Haze SE Ultra.

About the only thing that remains the same on my original bike is the color--it's now essentially a Street Glide with solo and two-up detachable tour paks, painted inner fairing, spun aluminum gauges, etc. and etc.

I have done most, but certainly not all, of the mods to my bike.

It has been my good fortune to become friends with a young man who works with Head-Quarters and from him learned to tune my bike with a SERT and Twin Scan II+, change cams, etc. and etc.

It's been interesting to read here about the problems with the '06 SE paint and that will help me in considering the '06 Autumn Haze.

Looking forward to reading and learning more here.

I've got an Autumn Haze as well. Paint problems on the Haze were very rare.
