Hi naitram, lots of good places depending on what you are looking for. Prices generally run from about $70 cdn to $200+ depending mostly on location; closer to downtown the more expensive. You really should check out www.motorcycletourguidens.com Harold puts out a great guide for bikers in Nova Scotia. Let me know what type & prce range of accomodations you are looking for and I can probably give some better suggestions.

i dont know how big of a group will be going yet, but i would think around 100-130 CDN per night would be the range we would be looking in, last year i had 3 people on 2 bikes go to PEI, i'm hoping for 6-8 people this year

What month do you think? July? I just got done telling JC I'd probably do something up north over the summer as well. Let me know.

p.s. Oh yeah. Any rides I go on will require all riders to sign a non-disclosure contract should I attempt to start my bike while engaged in gear without engaging the clutch. No one on the "other coast" will get that satisfaction! 8)

Naitram, I did a quick look on expedia.ca about rates. The Citadel Inn in downtown seems to be the lowest rate for the downtown core at about $150. This is a decent hotel within spitting distance of the waterfront, historic properties, casino and all the downtown pubs. You might also want to check out the Casino Nova Scotia Hotel they often have some real good stay & play specials. As the time gets nearer get in touch and we will try to get together for a beer while you are here.

Naitram, hope you have a good trip up. You might want to bring an Exxon tanker with you, gas prices just hit $1.07 Cdn a litre for supreme; that's over $3 US per gallon !! Filled the SEEG the other day for $18.00 Cdn.

Gas has been over $2 per gallon for a couple years......we're lookin at $2.39 to $2.49 for premium (my truck requires premium, too, due to the Supercharger on it).  I get 11 miles to the gallon in my Harley truck, too.  When I was working (before my accident) I was putting over $500 a month in the tank.  My wife said that with me drawing disability and not putting any gas in the truck, that we're actually bringing home more now, than when I was working.  That's sad! Hi Naitram, yup I'll be around. When you get to town give me a call xxx-xxx-xxxx and we can get together for a beer. Unfortunately I am bikeless right now. The wife & I got bit by the Dragon (Deal's Gap) two weeks ago, need all new body work for the SEEG, dealer says 12 weeks, but I am trying fix what I can before then so I can at least get the rest of the summer on 2 wheels even if it doesn't look pretty.

Hi Doc, yeah, we went down. Leaned a little too far into a left hand hairpin, did enough scraping to slow our momentum, hit the edge of the pavement and flipped & skidded on the right side of the bike. I came away with some bruised ribs & road rash but my wife had to have surgery to repair a broken ankle. Drove through it the next day with the bike in a UHaul truck and you are right some of those sport bikers seem to think they own that stretch of road.
