CVO Plaque
« on: February 20, 2004, 11:53:28 AM »

I apologize in advance for this, if it is just my dealer who does this...but are we all getting CVO plaques for buying CVOs?  I received one yesterday in the mail, and was stunned.  Please tell me I'm not the only one.

That's very nice and I will be letting my dealership know that I'm expecting one.  I did get a nice laser engraved plaque when I bought my 2002 Harley F-150 truck.

I did not get a plaque when I bought my 03 SERK.  I also did not get a gold key with the scooter as is now being done for the 04 SEEG.  I am a little dissappointed that the gold key was not included, however, I did get the bike at MSRP and got a deal on the tour-pak and highway pegs I bought with it.

I have sales 2 brochures for the 03 SERK that I plan on mounting in a frame or shadow box along with a purchased gold key.  The first brochure will show the front and the other will show the back.

Well put me in the column that got ZIP from the dealer.  I guess it is something that will never go up next to the degree's and the family pictures, but hey, you throw down this kind of "chicken" you want everything that you can get your hands on!

I recieved one with my 2002 SERK. If wasn't quite like yours, but it was inscribed with my name and VIN number. This seems to be a dealer retention/ satisfaction tool. They buy these from a "promotions" vendor. I also had a calander with me and the bike made up once.

They want ya coming back.

After talking with my dealer about the gold key,  I ended up talking to HD.  They told me that the SERK had enough bells and whistles on it and it didn't come with a gold key.  So I took the long way and bought a gold key kit,  sold most of the parts on ebay and finally got a cut key for it.  As far as a plaque,  I guess it's up to the individual dealers.  I didn't get squat from mine.

I had some plaque, but I went to the dentist and had it removed. The hygenist was pretty, and kept leaning into me, and even though I was unable to engage in conversation with her (can't be sure it was due to my limited vocabulary, shyness, too much beer, or the chit in my mouth) I believe she was attracted to me overall, as she kept brushing up against me (no pun intended).

The long and short of it is - - mainly long, being a H-D riding guy - - is I highly recommend getting plaque as a tool to meeting the opposite sex.

There you have it, my response.
