Some trikes at least look cool.  Should the time come that I'd need more stability than two wheels provide, for whatever reason, would choose a trike over any kind of training wheel looking bolt on.  Not even a choice.  Hell, I'd bolt an engine on my walker before I'd ride a Harley with training wheels.
Or just go ahead and stick with the 4 wheel cage, 'cause the 3 wheels won't let you ride/corner like a bike.  I was just thinking that at least those 'landing gear' deals would let you ride on 2 wheels a bit longer.  :-\  spyder

Agree, Spydy...

The only thing that comes close that has three wheels is the Can Am Spyder.

Well, I'm with TwoLane about those not looking cool, but retractable landing gear could be OK if you had to have 'assistance' to keep riding and could get over how it would appear to others....just depends on what's important when it comes to that......just glad I don't need to make that move just yet.  spyder

Actually I saw a similar type product a number of years ago and was amazed... The only thing that caught my attention when the fellow pulled up was that he dismounted and walked away without putting the kickstand down!

When he pulled out after lunch we of course knew they were there, but we were all struck by how non-noticable they seemed to be, once retracted when he got up to speed.

I rode a trike when Harley first introduced them and at first I said that if I ever get to a point where holding the bike is a concern, at least with a trike the wind is still in my face and I still get a thrill...  However, after a 1/2 hour of riding it, going through some S-turns and around corners, I quickly changed to, If I ever get to that point I will buy a bigger boat!

No offence meant to trike riders, they're just not my cup of tea.  The Landingear may just do the trick though.

Yeap; and were I in need of more wheels on the ground that's what I'd look at first.  Those little beasties look like they could be fun.

I've never ridden a Can-Am, but from looking at them the only thing Bombardier makes that excites me to ride either comes with skis or floats!

I think I would rather have a trike over one of those weird looking beasts.

I completely agree they're funny looking.  To me they look like they'd be a fun ride though.  Hard to get that impression from anything with training wheels....

I can certainly understand your point on the training wheels...

Possibly a baseball card in the spokes would be an appropriate addition and bring back some nice memories of years gone by?  ;D

How 'bout if you lost a foot/leg in a scooter accident?  spyder

Then I'll get a Tri-Glide or convert one of mine into a trike, or maybe a Can-Am Spider.  I just can't do training wheels.   :nixweiss:

Nah, if I wanted something that looks like a cool old car I'd get a cool old car.  It may be cool in its own way.  But it's trying too hard; too cute by half.

I've seen a few out on the road in the past year.  They also offer a "touring" edition now... :2vrolijk_21:   It's odd looking, but in a good kind of way.  I'd like to test ride one just for the hell of it.

The landingear thing is not the best looking thing I've ever seen, but I guess in this case it's a function over form thing.
