Needed a tool -- ACR Socket
« on: November 22, 2019, 04:49:21 PM »

Going to need a socket for automatic compression releases.  Only thing could find was stooopid expensive.  Thank gawd for old spark plug sockets and Dremel tools.

And, yes, posted all that just to make the bad afterbirth reference (note, didn't call it a joke, it's not that good).

Also, this socket will only work with non-synthetic oil pressure.

Would an Oxygen Sensor Socket have worked?

Wrong size.  Plus this way I got to butcher something.👍

Gotcha…. didn't know if O2 sensors came in different sizes but knew they were similar to what you had fabricated since I recently had to replace an O2 sensor on my cage and what you showed was what I remembered as the socket needed to complete that task.

Got to love free tools are made from crap in a toolbox drawer full of spare sockets you probably never use again anyway 🥳👌

Also, this socket will only work with non-synthetic oil pressure.

Non-metric, non-synthetic, & non-nitrogen?   :nixweiss:

Didn't have a socket to torque the rear axle nut had the wrench (spanner) to hold the axle fixed nut.
I had a 30mm socket of no use now it's a 36mm socket to torque the wheel nut and a open end to hold the axle when putting on the torque part # 0-0000-2  ;D

Amen to that ^ .  I've got a drawer that's half full of cut up, welded, bent or otherwise mangled "specialty" tools that have served the need for years.  Makes you smile every time you use one.

Have to be careful with o2 sensor sockets in a non-nitrogen environment.  Can only pull to to 21% of torque settings.  That's why you have to hold your breath when using that tool.

Yes.  Also, my O2 sensors go to O3.
