Really - how disappointing
We, and the dealer, several mechanics learned something yesterday. 14 and newer bikes have a different way to adjust the neck bearing. If you on pin and move the bars forward, you get the handle bar slap when coasting down from 50 through to 30, slap is real bad right around 40. Tried several times to adjust it per procedure and it would not be correct. Move the bars to correct location and adjusted, then move the bars back to where I had them. Seems much better and almost totally gone now.
Wonder if this is why the non CVO 15 road glides all have the weights on their clutch and brake clamps at handle bars, as our CVO RG bars are longer with more pull back?
Why the can't Harley just have a torque spec? That has to be how they built them, as they do not have time to do these tests on each and every touring bike.
So I ended up with four hours at service, no real ride.
