Title: Hydraulic Clutch Line Position Adjustment
Post by: tunaman on May 27, 2021, 06:12:26 PM
I need to adjust the hydraulic line on my bars just a little. If I crack the banjo bolt on the master cylinder to rotate the fitting a smidge, do I have to bleed the line?

Sorry, but new to the hydraulic clutch and it’s been so long since I had to muck with my brake line on my Fat Boy so I can’t recall.

If it's loosened slightly just enough rotate it, I think your OK only if you don't squeeze the lever and no fluid is lost when slightly lessened. After every is tightened back up , test the clutch pull with motor off then again with motor running.

Thanks! I’ll give it a shot, and if I have to bleed it then I’ll just replace the fluid anyway.

Appreciate the response.

You should be fine, just check you level when finished.

Thanks all. I was able to loosen it just enough this afternoon and reposition the line, and the clutch seemed no worse for wear.
