Hi, can anyone tell me if a bike cover is supplied with the Breakout? Cheers

I suppose I should crack open my cover and see if that other stuff is in the package...didn't realize that other stuff was supposed to come with it!

this may be the first time HD has not included the "gold" (brass) key which is just a very fancy key in a case that operates the bike as the original keys do. And probably costs you about....................let's see.............(HD)................oh, yeah, about a hundred dollars. Yup. So, see, you may have saaaaaaaved a HD here............ :2vrolijk_21: Pork.

The storage cover is so bulky and heavy, I've never even used mine. It has not even been out of the plastic wrapper. It's a nice cover, but just not very practical for everyday use, and certainly not for travel.
But you should get it anyway...it comes with the bike, and if you ever sell the bike, the new owner will appreciate getting all the "stuff" the bike came with.

I'd like to think that the bike cover for a Breakout would be smaller than that of an Ultra, thus making it easier to pack and carry. Makes sense right?
But,....the MoCo being Harley, and we owners being the kind of people we are,....I guess sense in these matters shouldn't be a reasonable expectation.

Thanks for all replies, I can't wait to get mine in the new year. Cheers!

Opened mine up this evening after washing up the bike. No tool kit :-X

You have to watch the dealers...most of them don't have a clue what is supposed to come with the bike. I would guess that the stuff is in the crate with the bike, but Lord knows what the person who unloads the bike does with the stuff.
Mark...yea, it's probably smaller. But, one came with my '06 SEVROD when I had it, and it was still a bitch to use, and taking it with was out of the question. It would really be more practical if they just gave you a nice full coverage nylon rain cover, and maybe another breathable one for indoor storage. I take my Exigent cover with me when I travel, but it's a rain cover, and not recommended for indoor or extended coverage. I guess for those who store their bikes all winter in the basement or garage, the CVO cover would work well, as it is breathable.

How in the world would you carry it if there was one? :P
-
Well,...
Those of us who have the HD tool kit and have tried to use it on the road know that the best thing about it is the roll pouch. I use it to carry all the tools I got to replace the Harley tools.
Others may differ.

According to that article....
The Softail® chassis mimics the clean lines of a vintage hardtail frame, but utilizes rear suspension control provided by coil-over shock absorbers mounted horizontally and out of sight within the frame rails. The rigid-mounted, counter-balanced powertrain creates a solid connection between the rider and the power that moves the motorcycle, enhancing the emotional experience of riding.
• Anti-Lock Brakes
• Electronic Cruise Control
• Keyless ignition
• Chrome Accessories
• Black high-torque 1.4kW starter

And a nice package from the museum including an attractive and heavy CVO coin...

How long did it take you to receive your collective tin/coin? And by the way, no tool kit, jiffy coaster with the cover.

You will receive a package in a month or two from HD with your CVO coin and more things...
You usually get the gift 2 days after that moment you tell yourself you are the chosen one that will receive nothing at all...
But on day one, you should have received a cover, a rain sock, softail manuals, FXSBSE manuals, ABS DVD, 2 keys, 2 FOBs, and if you are lucky enough, a motorcycle...
I read somewhere that there was a... (Plastic thing that goes under jiffy stand)... There was none in my package, so I asked for it. Got a 2008 used one, this is the only gift I've got with that $30000 bike. ;)

I also got all of the above minus the jiffy stand puck plus an orange t-shirt (made from the cheapest, thinnest cotton, but hey it was free). One month later, the coin, and some more print material. Based on my buddy buying a CVORG, you get more stuff with a touring bike (toolkit, jiffy stand puck, ipod nano, chrome polish, leather cleaner, various towels, etc., etc.).
-
Well i had all the stuff on day one [no jiffy stand ] plus a nice sweat shirt for the wife a Harley t-shirt for me and two coffee mugs i guess i am a lucky one :bananarock: all for £24000

I should probably open up my CVO cover to see what it is like, seems pretty heavy.
