Left Side.  Easier to operate with the other hand on the throttle.

Ditto.  Can't imagine putting in on the other side, but some folks do. :nixweiss:

Not according to Hubbard!
Bring it to MBBW and we can do a little road test.
Unless your clutch (or lack of) holds you back,,,again!

Ride to Charleston is Thursday.
Hub will be there.
I'm thinking Dawg will be also.
Should be fun!

Could it be that,
"left is right and right is wrong" ????

I put it on the right side because I can set the cruise and then dial in the information with my right hand since I am a right handed it is easier for me.   The other reason is if i am twisting the throttle I am probably holding on anyhow, so whatever changes need to be made can wait till I stop or cruise control is safe to use.

RH side...I use the cruise when i'm actually doing something on the screen.  I can shoot lefty but oddly operating the Zumo lefty doesn't work well.  It takes my eyes off the road too long.  Text messaging while riding is easy tho.  Just kidding.  And I have the power hard-wired, so it doesn't matter where the lighter socket is.

Left side...closer to the cigarete lighter for a removeable power supply...easier to hide the 3.5mm stereo patch cable into the clutch line hole in the fairing, through the fairing, then back out the handlebar hole on the right side and into the Aux in on front of the radio.  Also, when stopped on an incline and fooling with the GPS, you can hold the front brake lever.  It's just easier to fool with not having to do the cruise control thing IMO.

Doesn't matter, you'll get used to wherever it is. Just don't put it where the passenger can get to it.

RH side, since I have my Radar Detector mounted on the LH side.  It's easy to work on the RH side even with your left hand :2vrolijk_21:

Now I picked the right side, but I reach over with my left hand.  Works better for me that way.  Of course I used to have a CB mounted on the left side, but since I got an ultra now, maybe it is justa bad habit on further review.

Left hand, keeps the throttle up when moving and like a brake hand available when stopped...bike stays in neutral well but my two short parking brakes need to be in contact with the pavement and they don't always hold well on inclines.
