The parking / running lamps should not be on in the ACC position. What lights are on on yours?

Jim, remember that handy little schematic you produced for someone showing where/how to rewire spot lights off the inbound leg to the accessory switch?  If someone does that they might need to be reminded that their spots will be on when the ignition switch goes to accessory.  They can just turn them off with the spot light switch of course.  But it will be one slight functional difference from stock.

With the switch on ACC I have the front parking on (in the headlamp) along with the rear tail lamp.

This is a European speck machine so may have different regs?

I think running light should work. Safety feature-you would want 4 way flasher to work but not headlight to save battery.

Didn't catch that it was a euro machine. That is part of the regs on the international machines. You could disconnect that lights if you wanted to thought, they are feed from the orange wire with the white stripe.

Running lights through the indicator system are against the law over here, we still have 4 way flashers in case of problems, what we call side or parking lights are required if the vehicle is left on the road at night. When attending Rallies etc I just wish to\play the CD and do not want the lights on which only adds to battery drain.

If you're only going to do it every now and then, I would suggest pulling the fuse for the lights when you want to run the radio in the Acc. position.
