Corbin Dual Tour vs Mustang ?
« on: June 25, 2007, 02:56:27 AM »

I'm looking at replacing my stock seat , I put 20K miles on my last Corbin and while stiff it was good all day.  I've heard many with Mustang say they were happy too.  Anyone ridden both and have an opinion?  One advantage the Corbin has is the heat option , although I've never had a heated seat, seams like it would be a worth consideration.

Nidan,  Jamey has had his mustang seat now - second bike - for about 80,000 miles.  This seat still looks brand new and he says it is the only seat that will allow him to sit for 800 - 1000 mile days.  I have had my corbin seat for about 50,000 miles - second bike, and it is showing a ton of wear, but still comfortable for the 800 - 1000 mile days.  I am not sure how this helps you, but they are both good seats for many miles, day after day.  The mustang is not as expensive as the corbin.  Heat is good when you want it.  Can you imagine what it would have been like last October if you could have cut the chill, just a little?

Thanks for the insight , After freezing by tush off last October I decided heat is a goot thing.

That's one of the reasons I traded for the Street Glide . I just ordered a Heated Dual Tour in Silver sharkskin (pic attached)  with blue flame stitching, it will take 3-4 weeks , but worth the wait.  The light grey should go nice against that deep cobalt . I liked how the grey ostrich looked against the Navy of the WG3.

As I kept my Gunfighter, I'll be able to use the back rest and it won't clash too much .  I'll be selling the gunfighter now. Too bad it won't fit the bagger  :(
