Thanks for that Hubbard, I'm going to cut my baffles and play with the tunning mid summer. I'm running the staggard duals on a softail. Probably wont do any major engine work for a bit tho. Please post Geralds opinion on the true dual spec for larger engines, I would be interested as would others here.

btw, when we finally meet you in person at the get together next month are you going to be the guy that starts every sentence with "Yeah, 'er 'uh"

Yeah, 'er 'uh, reo,
I just had the pleasure of speaking with Gerald.  I was correct in one of my statements, and incorrect in the other.  Gerald said we should NOT remove the baffles from the RINEHART True-Dual system for the FLH models.  I was incorrect in stating there were long and short baffles.  SHRADER was correct in stating the difference is in the diameter of the baffles.  I have 2 1/2" baffles in mine, which is what Gerald said was needed for the BIG MOTORS, 95 cu. in., and bigger.  He said the 2 1/4" baffles were desinged for Stock, 88 cu. in. Motors.  He would not comment on the subject of removing baffles for more power.  Later--HUBBARD
