Not much better here.  What's worse is it was in the 50's two weeks ago, so now this is like torture.

I had to go to DC today to pick up a computer, left home at 0645.  At 0835 I was three miles south of Massaponax, VA. At 0945 I was at the exit for Massaponax, VA, which is about 63 miles south of DC.  At 11:45 through blinding snow, watching cars and trucks just fall off the road, I arrived at my office building. I decided to not stop and visit, just grabbed my computer and turned around and came home.  Got home at 3:30.  Now this is only a 260 mile return trip.  I did actually see a Honda Goldwing leaning into the 40 mile gusting wind on the ice that was thick on I95 in the Springfield Mixing Bowl.  Yes, to me, this was not a bike riding day. But by the time I was home, the sun was shining the wind had died, and it was a good day to ride, if you don't mind all the salt and sand.  California...... ya just suck, OK?

Just kidding.   [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=nervous.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

Maybe this is the cold before the real warmth arrives.

Hope so!  Rode this weekend and it was nice here and now it's cold
again [smiley=furious.gif].

Gotta go to Charleston Saturday to pick up the Lowrider!
Come on good weather!

For all of you north of the Mason/Dixon Line, GOD BLESS YOU ALL !!!

As someone who will refuse, no make that quite a company for having them relocate to areas that snow, I respect you.

As for my area, winters are very mild and opportunities to ride are often.

Here's Hoping that Winter will END SOON for you!!

ya know , all of you  guys and gals that have to wait for warm weather  to arrive  have one major advantage over  us here in california,,,you get to ride on large open highways and through forests and such.. we have  freeways,, and they are conjested at that ...so i would say that good things come for those who wait   [smiley=laugh.gif]
Today  I actually rode into work on the 605  without a jacket on @ 5am   eh he

I guess that I have the best of both worlds....Weather is usually nice enough to ride around here during most of the winter, and I go to the mountains of N. Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee every chance I get during the summer to get away from the heat and humidity here.  [smiley=laugh.gif] Forecast here for the upcoming weekend....sunny and 75 degrees.  Gotta love it!!  Any of you fine folks from the North Country want to come down here and ride  [smiley=helmet.gif], look me up!

On March 10th... Could there possibly be an uglier, more depressing, photo?  I just walked outside to see how crappy it is... and I was right!  And now the snow is coming down hard!  [smiley=cry2.gif] [smiley=cry2.gif] [smiley=cry2.gif] [smiley=cry2.gif] [smiley=annoyed.gif] [smiley=wall.gif]  And I rode 300 miles last sunday... it was 65 and sunny! [smiley=confused5.gif] WTF?

The Rolling Herald
"All the news that seems moderately true"

AP: by Twolane Slipstick

In a stunning reversal to the global warming theorists everyplace it has been determined that winter will not end this year for many.  This determination is based on the 103Thunder-sicle and the correlative DJW-sicle calibrated measure.  Both scales were fully utilized this past weekend when 103Thunder and DJW mounted their Harley Davidson motorcycles to go to a mid-spring motorcycle rally in the American Smoky mountains.  Before escaping their native metropolitan areas, however, both riders and their machines were frozen in place and covered with blowing snow like freaky riding popsicles.  Were "The Herald" not so cheap as to disallow photography in its reporting the 103Thunder example would also show the odd tongue-sticking-out while frozen formation.  This reporter can not speculate whether the rider was attempting to get a taste as he froze or is simply making his displeasure known with the tongue-gesture.

Ditto.  At least I'm far enough south that these last 3 days of monsoon has been liquid and not of the frozen variety.  Worse case scenario, I CAN ride in the rain! [smiley=furious.gif]

Sounds like a 'fine' day Mrs.We!  Did you not hit any rain or wet roads?  It's been raining almost all day down here in eastern NC.  Good for you! Show those profilers and non-riding guys how it's done.  Just do it!  ( Or as the rednecks down here say: "Git 'er done!") [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Mrs. We,

I enjoyed reading about your day.  Great fun!  Last weekend we took off for the Oregon coast.  We ended up in Newport Bay for lunch.  A nice ride 2-up on the Deuce (SEEG still in the shop).  I counted three tanks of gas... so about 380 miles round trip.  Anyway, that was last weekend.  This weekend is rain rain rain.  Can't complain... very dry winter and we need it... or else fire fire fire!

Mrs.,

Besides the nice work, I am happy you enjoyed yourself.  Life is too short NOT to do that!

It was a nice day today 67*, clear skies, however I had a list of tasks to perform...Tomorrow...projected high to be 74*....Oh yeah, it's the 1st day of Spring too!!

TO ALL...Better weather is coming, you can count of that, right RAINMAN?

We had a heat wave today. It was 43F.
So off came the cover and rode a few miles...
This week should be in the 50's.
At last,, It's time to ride.

Had strong winds and blowing snow Saturday, with accumalation of 2-3 inches!  Sunday was a Beautiful day!  Too many marbles on the road, though.  Can't wait to head out to the Valley!  Later--HUBBARD

Mid 70s here so AK (from this site) and I rode up to Yosemite National Park for the weekend.  Ran into KingSalmon (also from this site) at the market in the valley floor.  Stood there and talked SEEGs for a few minutes before they got on their way.

Also visited Hetch Hetchey for the first time in my life.  Was very surprised to learn that it's very much like Yosemite with all the huge granite walls, the towering water falls, etc.  Now there's a big push on to remove the dam and restore it to it's natural habitat.  I'm all for that........more riding roads!

After mowing the yard, trimming, and tilling and planting the garden today, I'm sick of f'in spring. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

With all this being said, is the question...Why can't I enjoy what I want to everyday?

We all know the answer to that question...Enjoy it when you can....
