I don't believe they will work because the Hawg Wired amp is 4 OHM and the J&M speakers are 2 OHM. I already thought about getting the speakers and installing them with my amp but it won't work...
I forget the name of the place, Dr. V Twin I think, has both 2 & 4 ohm available. I think '06 and older HD's are 4 ohm. So just buy your J&M speakers to match the amp.
Also a 4 ohm amp will power 2 ohm speakers, but at higher levels the amp could overheat.
I had this issue for years on my home system. I have M&K front speakers and they are 4 ohm speakers and most AV receivers only drive 8 ohm speakers. My "newer" unit is a Yamaha 3800 and it's switchable to 4/6 ohms on the front outputs. This made a slight difference in sound quality, but my amp ran a lot cooler.
So my advice is J&M are the best for the money and if someone has amp that outputs at either 4 or 8 ohms, just get the correct rated speakers from J&M.
I just love my 7.25" J&M's on my '09 SERG without the amp. Lots clearer and tons louder without added distortion. Money well spent, my wife even commented as the BSR.
