SiriusXM on my CVORK?
« on: June 26, 2013, 06:51:32 AM »

I miss satellite radio...had it on my old Road Glide and trying to find a way to put it on my '13 CVORK.

I'm running a Zumo 660 and J&M audio module that connects all the Zumo audio (phone calls, directions, etc) to my helmet speakers.

As far as I can figure, my options are either:
- Upgrade to a Zumo 665 with XM (but either can't use the bike speakers for XM, or can't use the helmet speakers for phone/routing), or
- Separate XM module, routed to the 3.5mm line-in (how would I route the cable into the saddlebags?)

I looked into using an 3.5mm audio switch so that I could switch the Zumo audio output between the helmet and bike speakers, like on an Ultra, but then where do you mount the switch? Also, all the switchboxes I found were for desktop use, and weren't dust/waterproof.

If I run a cable into the saddlebags, the lid's going to pinch the cable and damage both it and the lid weather seal.

Anyone got any solutions or ideas I might try?

Might try one of these. I've had one for years.

Looks like a neat gadget, but not quite what I'm looking for.

I think what I really need is a weatherproof, 1-in-2-out audio switch, and somewhere to mount it.

Seems like there ought to be some way to use the Aux Power switch on the nacelle for the purpose, but I'm not near smart enough to figure it out.
