Title: NAMZ help
Post by: bigchuck on February 26, 2019, 10:52:07 AM
I am installing 12" LA Chopper Twin Peaks on My 2015 CVO Limited. I have researched and keep getting different answers. What namz wire extension do I need for switches? I'd like plug and play. I understand that the stock wires can be reconfigured but would rather use 8" or 12" extensions. Also do I need extensions for throttle by wire and heated grips. The so called Harley tech expert at vender that I am getting the bars says I need to replace or extend all hydraulic lines and wires. He had me at $120+ just for wires. Thanks for the help. Part numbers would be great.

I installed 12" KST bars on my 2018 CVO Limited. I just used  the wire extensions from the HD dealer. Sorry but I don't have the part number for the kit. But they should know what you need. The stock brake & clutch cables worked for me. If you listen to dealer they will try to sell you longer brake & clutch cables. Here is a link for what you would need.

All you need is the wire extension kit. Thats what I used & I have heated grips and it all worked fine.. I  did the install myself except for pulling the wires thru new bars. I took to an indy shop & had them run wires... You don't need to lengthen the brake & cable lines..

Good luck with your install of handlebars. Its really not too hard except for removing the side pieces, blinkers etc to pull front fairing off..I just removed mine from bike as not to damage anything..

Thanks again. It is my first set of non-stock bars and first installation.
