I really think wearing a helmet is a smart thing. Just my opinion...

I agree wearing a helmet is a good idea.  I know it can save lives, I saw my wife's full face after she went down at 70 mph on the interstate.  Pretty sure she would not be riding today, if not for that helmet and good leathers.

That said, I am 100% for it being the rider choice.  I usually wear mine, but there a times I choose not to, like this summer in Big Bend National park.  Most the rest of that 5600 mile trip my helmet was on.

i too am a "let those who ride decide" , that being said.. my point of view is that it is a very poor decision not to wear a helmet when riding. after 45 years of riding i would also encourage riders to wear hearing protection too, i have worn the little foamies in my ears for the last twenty years, and have saved some of my hearing :orange:
