Hunting season is such a short window here that as much as I love to ride deer season will win everytime, thank goodness it opens on the 14th and goes until the 22nd 'cause I'll be ridin' in MV on opening day, you guys have no idea what a tough decision it is.

Rj thats a hell of a nice animal where did you take that big boy? Here in Alabama our season opens mid October and runs through Jan.31 ..we can take a buck everyday ...also if you hunt Tennessee like I do then you can start in Sept. so we can hunt over 5 months ..

You could do like DC and DO BOTH....AT THE SAME TIME!

I wouldn't recommend it, but hey to each his/her own!

I just knew there would be a comment coming from you when I read this. I wonder if a certain person has forgotten that there was a passenger on the scooter during this ride/hunting exhibition? [smiley=nixweiss.gif] ;D It would seem that way be there remarks. ;)

I have been fortunate to get an elk three years in a row in the Angelfire area of Northern New Mexico about 35 miles notheast of Taos.

This is the largest of the three taken in 03 a 6X6.  In 04 I took a nice 5X5 with a muzzleloader but the other two were modern rifle 340 Wthrby.

Bama,  I'm like you....I struggle between the two options.  Generall I find myself up a tree in the morning, taking a ride during mid-day, and then back in a tree for the evening.  That is unless the rut is on.  I hunt a lease of about 1500 acres in Walker Co., AL.  It has produced 6 Pope & Youngs in last 5 years.

The picture of your buck is fantastic.  Did he come from Canada?

Ride Safe,
Pap
