Hey there guy's, is there a "brand new" latest compensator? If there is would you know the part number of the newest version. Thanx.

The latest version I am aware of is HD part no 42200064A, You will also need the adhesive to glue in the oil feed tray into the outer primary cover (unless your bike is new and it is built in from new ).
Don't forget the "Compensaver" (from GMR performance), otherwise your wasting your time it will chew itself to pieces as the previous ones have, and be very noisy!!

The Compensaver is the aftermarket product from GMR that Harley used as inspiration for their cheap plastic tray version.

What is the difference between comp 42200064 and 42200064A ? Thanks.

They removed the 2 shim washers on the "A"
Be sure to get with GMR and save yourself a lot of aggravation.

Maybe Harley finally fixed their excessive tolerance problem and found the shims were no longer needed?

Who knows? Will live with rattle as long as I can hoping a later, later, later, later, version will be created. Don't feel like going back into it since I don't have but several thousand miles on the Pre-A version. Getting too old to crawl around on the garage floor unless absolutely necessary. Still would not pay dealer rip off prices.

I to am in my 60's understand about the getting it done thing. Noise is in direct relationship to reliability and longevity. You an make it reliable once or keep replacing it. Just saying!! The MoCo has been riding this cash cow for 8 years now. They have known for years how to fix it. I don't have to go into all the details here and now. I have directed you on where to get that detail. This story is playing out daily around the world and cannot get the information to everyone so here we are over and over. I will stay on it that you can rely on.

Hello Dude, you are a young man. I'll be 75 this month.Talk about aches and pains especially after a major repair? It hurts. However, thanks for info. I do have plastic oilier trey installed but with chrome bolt through the primary plus glue. It's not going anywhere.Thanks for info.
