Had to take the bike in because the right side grip has "worn through" and the chrome has worn off to show the yellow plastic underneath. They are replacing no problem (bike is only two months old)... anyone else having this problem? :(

I just noticed the other day that my left grip has a place on the end of it that the chrome has flaked off. Bike is about 1.5 years old. I am gonna stop by the Harley shop some time next week and see what they will do about it.

Same thing happened to the right grip on my '13 RG within the first few months. The chrome just peeled off the end of the grip. Harley replaced both at no charge. Current grips are now over a year old. Seems to be ok so far.

Good to know. I will keep an eye on mine. I have the HD Get a Grip in black (from previous bike) ready to replace the stock units... but not sure if it is laziness or liking the stock ones, but this time around those have stayed in place longer than in the previous bike...
Something similar happened with the shift rod as well... on the previous bike I took it off a few days after buying the bike. Placed it in a box in the garage. When I checked it a year after, the chrome was peeling... this was in a sealed plastic box... not the best quality chrome job if you ask me...

yep had mine replaced on my 2014 RK two weeks ago, when it was in for the clutch recall

Thanks for the heads up, I will keep a close eye on this.

Glad to hear its not just me! Pretty sad since the Slipstream line is their "premium" line too. I had the Black Diamond line on my other bike and no wear for four years. Foot pedal and brake pedal wore a bit... but that wasnt as bad.
