2015 wheels fit 2012 CVO
« on: October 28, 2014, 07:29:22 PM »

Does anyone here see why the 2015 CVO Street Glide wheels ( Agressor) would not fit a 2012 Road Glide CVO?
Many say they do, MOCO will not say due to it has not been advised by the engineering department.

On the fitment page for the Aggressors you will find they only list 2014 and 2015 models, and also have a note that they won't fit CVO's unless they came standard on the particular CVO.  This is typical H-D doubletalk/BS, and it's by far not the first time I've seen such misinformation put out by H-D.

Do a little research and see if there has been any significant change to the axles, bearings, sprockets, brake rotors, etc. from 2012 to 2014.  I'm not aware of any.  So unless there is something they didn't mention in the 2014 new model information, it looks like those wheels will indeed work on a 2012 SERGC.  The tire sizes are the same for both bikes, with the same load ratings.

Arrange a meeting with someone that has the other bike.  Invite him over to your place for a BBQ and refreshments on you.  Try the swap in your garage to check everything out for fitment and there you will have your answer and maybe a new friend.   :)

Sort of related...
I have a 2015 CVO Streetglide on order. I asked the parts guys to add auxiliary lights before I pick it up.

They checked and said, H-D will not guarantee compatibility of that part with the FLHXSE.

But a simple look on this forum will show that they are indeed compatible. Don't take everything the MoCo says as gospel. In my view they know less about their own product every year.

I ended up buying them.  The only thing different is the rotor bolt up  Being the rotors come with them, no problem.  Thank you
