We lived in Hondo for about 6 years and had a lot of fun times in Bandera. We had horses then and did the 7 day trail ride from there to San Antonio that is one of the sanctioned rides to kick off the Stock Show and Rodeo. Beautiful countryside when the weather is right. They sure are running out of water quick though.. Medina Lake there has people driving over areas that my depth finder used to measure well over 100 feet deep..
