My first guess is a loose connection, I would check first the battery cables at the battery and the starter. Make sure you check all the grounds as well. It could also be a connection at the ignition switch. But I am sure that it's going to be some sort of connection problem.
Just wondering if it has ever just quit while riding?
By wiggling the bike some thing shakes and makes the connection so it starts.
You may try this before you take it to the dealer, turn ignition on and if nothing comes on again move some wires up near the fairing and around the battery area. Shake them a little, (jiggle test)
May save some time at the dealer if you can show them what you move to,get it to work before they start tearing the bike apart.
Some one may jump in here and have seen or heard of this before. Some put it into better words than me.
Hope this helps
