Hello all,

Looking at getting another half helmet (DOT), I like the ACC carbon fiber.

Anyone have any experience with Helmet City International?

I have the HD version which is the same as the HJC. It is comfortable but the small vents don't work very well on a touring bike with full fairing. My Shoei neotech modular helmet has better ventilation and my head stays cooler than with the HD half helmet, safer too.

I have the polo style carbon fiber helmet they sell. A car hit me at approximate 50 mph. I landed in the fast lane of highway 101 on my head. The visor/bill hit first and saved me from face damage. Nothing broke on th helmet. Except the foam inside cracked in half in the forehead area. The polo style is deffinately worth it. It fits in the saddle bag too.

Helmet City was good to deal with, fast came in perfect condition.
I prefer the carbon fiber 3/4 helmet, I have a 1/2 but I don't wear it.
I don't see the carbon fiber in 3/4 any more I wonder why?
Did you see any during your shopping?
I am thinking of the Bell Mag-9 with the SENA bluetooth.

my first thought is that the helmet city helmet is only CF look. And while they say its just as good, I dont see any supercars using plastic to replace the CF the use. The last link is a mixture of materials, again, not quite as strong.  What are you after? The look, the weight savings, the strength?

Trying to take advantage of both, and newer technology. I have a ACC helmet now and like its features.

In my research I have noticed that some of the CF helmets are look only.

Should have my results soon to post.

I bought my Schuberth from Helmet City in the UK and they were great. Had it at my door in just a few days. I couldn't have got it any quicker anywhere..

I have the HCI polo style carbon fiber helmet.  I bought the quick detach buckle adapters for it.  As far as DOT helmets go, it's pretty comfy.  I've had other brands that like to lift up and nearly pull my head off at highway speeds.  The HCI does not do that (as bad), like the others I've tried.
