Subject: Be CAREFUL on 264 in Norfolk!!

Everyone,

FYI...........I was attacked today on 264 in Norfolk by 2 kids dumping a cup of rocks on me while riding my bike.  It happened on the pedestrian walkway over 264 just after the 64 merge.  2 young kids, one on a bike, dumped the cup full of rocks and hit me full on in the face and helmet.  They had perfect timing so I don't think this was the first time they have pulled this trick.  I reported it to 911 and they called the proper authority.  I was heading to Va Beach from Norfolk (eastbound).  Please be on the watch for any similar activity and try to steer away from them.  They are dangerous!!

Also sounds like someone didn't do a very good job designing that pedestrian overpass.  Anyone with a basic understanding of human nature would design it so it's impossible to throw objects onto the roadway.

Yep I think some good old arse kicking would be pretty good.  I am sure that they try that all the time and will get caught eventually...but how many people are going to get hurt first.

...whatever happened to good ol' water balloons...brutal, hope you and the scooter faired well pal...years back someone 'bought it' on 95 'bout a mile from my house when a good sized rock crashed through the passenger windshield...ever since then I've made a conscience effort to take a quick gander up on overpasses...man, times have changed

Times haven't changed that much for some hooligans.  In the late 70's a couple of kids tossed a bowling ball off an overpass in Detroit and took out a woman in a car.  I passed under that overpass every day, TWICE.  News on the internet is just faster and more complete.

Sheesh, what a way to go...
