Title: True Duals
Post by: busarealfast on May 30, 2019, 09:21:07 AM
Gentlemen, Im looking for input on true dual systems for my newly installed 117 kit. I miss the sound! Are there systems with larger head pipes for additional cubic inches?

Any details about your motor?
Cam
Compression
Etc
Do you want touring or race?

I have true duals on my 113 and like them. Very easy to ride and no running issues.
I’m running 1-3/4 head pipes, cvo mufflers with 2” cores. I like this combo, plenty of power. And it will outrun my stage 1 117 cvo
Lots of choices

Bike is 2009 flhtcuse. Just installed the Harley big bore 117 cyl kit stock throttle body redshift 587 cams. Cr is around 10-1 with stage 1 air filter, pro pipe and thundermax.

You might take a look at Khrome Werks.
I don’t know of anyone else other than a custom set that would work.

That said, if you’re not racing it the stock size tubes would work.
I got my setup from Fullsac and currently running 1-3/4 exhaust pipes with cvo mufflers with 2” cores. The larger cores were too loud for me. I really like the sound with my setup after trying other systems. My motor dialed right in and runs very smooth.

Maybe someone else will chime in.
Good luck.

I’d check with Thunderheart or Zippers and see if they have a map for d n d true duals.  Zippers sells a lot of d n d  so good chance they have maps
