Title: 09 CVO Roadglide with 260 cams and stock compressure...

First time post.....long time reader.
Owned this bike a couple of months. First owner had 260 cams installed after lifters failed. Failed lifters took out cams and oil pump. Top end makes lots less noise than my 99 TC wideglide.
Bike seems to run very good....Lots more power than the wideglide. I do not feel good about the high valve lift (.609). Also these cams have lots of overlap.
Would like to install SE 211 or 251 or 257 cams or SnS 585 cams.
Which cams would work best with stock pressure? And whick will work best 10.5 pistions? Already have SE Pro programmer and V/H X pipes and big cans muffs.
Will use S/E high comp. pistons.............Thanks for all replays.......
Ride single 95% of time. Bike have 26 thousand miles . Also post if have better ideas.

In a CVO 110 I would not use any of those including and especially the 260. With stock heads or ported stock heads on the 96 or 103 new story.

Take a look at a Crane 296, stock pistons, or if you are a low end torque guru then take a look at the Wood TW5-6.
The Crane will have respectable low end but come on strong, probably stronger than the 260 in that motor, the TW5 on the other hand is a torquer.
Have made 113/124 in a 110 with mild head work and milling to 10/1 and the 296 117/120. Do not worry about the lift the motor likes lift but keep the LSA on the wider side, overlap relatively low. The 110 is very pipe sensitive, needs a good 2 into 1 for maximum torque, throttle response, and HP. And of course a proper custom tune.

Cycle-Rama 575 cams they have a  nice torque curve, you can use your stock push rods. And they run quiet.
With your present set up I would guess you would end up with 105 hp 120 TQ.
If you would like a bit more HP and move the TQ to a little higher RPM than I would look into the Fueling 574 cams
If you are going to up the compression and do some head work, than I would take a look at what Deweysheads has suggested.
Just do a search on this site on any of the cams listed. A lot of great reading.

If looking for more, then a Wood 555 cam, and set the compression at 10.5 cr.
Naturally, headwork will expose even more if wanted. :2vrolijk_21:

Would the great and time tested Andrew tw-37 be a good fit for the stock comp. cvo 110.
Also the SE Pro racing magazine makes it sound like the 254 E cam would be the ideal cam for the 110 with stock pressure
A little more would be good.......Not looking for a hot rod.

I have the andrews 54 with .030 cometic head gaskets and tts tune V&H x pipe and Bub boom cans. Have not had it on a dyno but the Fullsac provide map makes it all work well. great torque and no popping on decel. Unless your looking for head woek and other improvements I think this setup is tits!

If eye-balling the 37, which does work well, take a peek at the Wood 6.
Bruce @ HP Express, in the San Fran Bay area, recently tuned a 117" of ours, set at 10.2 cr, with the little 6, to 119 hp, and 135.5 ft/lbs.
125 ft/lbs coming in as soon as 2300 rpms................in a Dyna!!
The client had the cam already, so we built around it. :)

Hello all ... thanks for the information.......one last question
What will a .030 gasket bring the comp. up to on this engine.
I know that the TW-37 needs 9.8 comp. to be @ its best.
I think  that the CVO 09 110 is rated @ 9.3....Am I right or is this engine rated @ 9.1............?
Which ever it is what will a .030 gasket brting it up to........Thanks......
