Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone. Keep me posted on any rides you plan in the Virginia area. Right now I ride with quite a motley crew (Busa, Interceptor, VTX1800, M109R and a Road King). We all took the Motorcycle Safety class together about 6 years ago and have enjoyed lots of miles together. The attached pic shows my bike and my friends VTX....or at least that's how I described it!  :D

Harly01,

Welcome from a fellow Virginian!!!  A few people are threatening to get together Memorial Day weekend around the Rolling Thunder ride.  There is a Rolling Thunder thread under events.

Take care

Hey Jim, I'm so glad you made it over.  :2vrolijk_21:

Have fun and poke around a bit, there's a lot of information.

This is without a doubt the best Harley site on the web!

And lest I forget, welcome from Indiana!

Are those the stock handlebars?  I was eyeballing a set of buckhorn bars yesterday.

Welcome to the site from England.  The Heritage Springer was my first and only Harley (until the end of this month) mine too was an 03 in gunmetal - see avatar, a Great bike, what have you done with yours

Yep, those are the stock bars. I actually think they are very comfortable....put you in a more laid back position. I also just added a mini backrest which helps with my lower back.

 :worthless:

• nostalgic floorboards/shifter pegs and throttle grips
• Engine guard and detachable large windsheid
• Brake light conversion (signals light up under braking)
• chrome visors for headlights
• SuperTrapp slip ons/PCIII/SE breather
• passenger floorboards and passenger quick detach backrest
• a few more chrome doo dads here and there

As you can see I have it pretty stripped down tight now (no bags/windsheild/passenger seat). I just kinda like to mix up the look from time to time. Tros said he thinks they make a quick detach kit for the bags...need to check with the dealer. Someday I may add the true dual kit, but for now I'm done. A CVO is tempting but I don't know if I could part with the Springer to fund it. If they ever come out with a CVO that looks like the Heritage Springer I'm in trouble. The CVO Springer Softail is really nice, but not so much that I'm willing to part with mine....and I can;t afford both  ;)

The buckhorns are brilliant but then again I'm bias about this bike.
