NewBie with 07 FLHR-103 !!!!!!!!
« on: July 03, 2007, 05:48:36 PM »

Whats Up? just trying to get out there and learn from all you guys. I own a 07 roadking, I put a 103 kit w/SE heads, 258 cams, 50mm throttle body, SERT, & rinehart duals!! It also has a Hoppie fairing w/stereo CD on it!! It does pretty well, It took a few tries to get it tuned right, but I think it's good to go now!! I have thought of going to the 110 or 113, but after reading all about the issues that they are having, I think I will leave well enough alone!!

 Motor #'s  HP-102 & TQ-108
Runs pretty good, no complaints :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

                                                       Later
                                                            SirMichael

A Great BIG CVO Welcome to you.  Hope you find a lot of information on this site to help you adapt your motorcycle anyway you want it to be adapted.  No matter what you do, or what size you use, there is someone here who has done it or is in the process of doing it.  Everyone is mostly very helpful.  Enjoy your bike.

Welcome aboard.

A well tuned 103 with the proper heads and cams is capable of 130hp , no real need to go to a 110.

Enjoy what you've got , make it yours , ride it like there's no tommorow , and when it's time for a new bike look at what CVO's are out.

Welcome aboard man! Stick with your 103 if it runs well and causes you no problems. If you're gonna split the cases to make your engine bigger, then there are a better engines than the 110 that you can build. You can also do a Timkin bearing conversion and weld your flywheels and rebuild this engine properly. There's nothing special about the 110. It just differentiates '07 CVO's from standard models. If you wanted to stay HD, I'd make it 113" with Timkin and the whole nine bullet proof yards! ;) Hoist! 8)

Konichiwa from Okinawa...they are different flavors of the same brand of ice cream...if you are looking for numbers alone...more bigger is more better but why stop at 110 there are bigger/better out there.  If you are looking for bling it is tough to top the CVOs.

Why do I stay away from the 110?? Isn't bigger always better!! I've actually heard good and bad, so I'm still listening, I guess!!
