Just received an e-mail from our Local Harley Dealer about the ToolKit. Here's his response:

Only touring bikes with sadllebags come with a kit.  They are the only ones that have room to store it.  I hope this helps out.

That's a lie.  I received a tool kit with my 2008 Screamin' Eagle Springer.  What a drag you have to put up with this type of nonsense when spending that much money.

Thanks Sierramadre !!

That was an actual Cut & Paste from the email I received from Harley Davidson Dealer... Maybe because my wife won the bike at the Casino, they don't feel I deserve the accessories... When I go and sell the bike I'm sure the experienced purchaser will think I'm holding out on the Toolkit.. That's why it's great to have a website like this to find out the truth from fellow bikers... :2vrolijk_21:

Well I made it back from Tulsa with the new bike.  Love the color and power,  but I will have to admit,  this is the most uncomfortable bike I have ever ridden.  Floorboards are to high,  backrest does not tilt back enough, handlebars are to low.  All makes for a very tired back very quickly.  Going for the 1k mile service this Saturday.  Hoping they can raise the handlebars up a little.  I am going to try and bend the backrest arms enough that it will lean back more.  As for the floorbards,  not sure how to handle this.  the highway pegs are a great stretch.  Will have to purchase the wrap around mounts to get the pegs in closer.  I know I will love this bike more when I get it setup.  Evidently whoever test rides these bikes, don't ride them very long, because they would see they don't fit very well.  A real shame,  such a great looking bike, and you would expect for the money that it would be more comfortable than what it is !!

I hate to sound so negative about this bike,  but it's the truth.  Not giving up,  I will make all the adjustments I can, and hopefully I will get a bike that I can ride for 20 miles without my back killing me.

Also I was planning on putting the Rinehart Slip On's on it this weekend.  Talked with Tech at Rinehart and he told me that the slipons (PN # 1901-0100) will fit this bike.  and that the True Duals would probably hit the market place around the first of the year.  But I'm thinking with as much power as this bike already has,  why do I need true duals ?

Your thoughts.

I have the Rinehart Tru Dual slp ons on my SERG and the power band is very strong.  I'm adding the tru dual headpipe when its available mainly for the improved exhaust note.

Was curious if anyone could give me a good source for purchasing the Rinehart Slip-ons for the 09 SEUC.  I have talked with the tech's and Rinehart and they assure me that the 1801-0100 for the 08 yr model will fit without any problems.  their very words are :  to insert a a 3/8" inch spacer (or flat washer) between stock mounting bracket and the muffler mounting bracket.  This allows for the Slip-on muffler to sit at a position that creates the space needed for clearance.

Anyway,  I was curious if anyone knew of any good deals out there on who has the best price on these muff's.?

Appreciate any suggestions or comments about this thread.

Is that the Autumn Haze/High Octane Orange SEUC in the background?  I can find lots of actual photos of the ruby red and the silver/blue bikes in the outdoors, but none of the Autumn Haze/orange out in the sun.  Can anyone guide me to any?  Thanks, newbie here, will post an intro note in a few days when I know more.

I just bought my 3rd SE bike and my 6th HD in the fleet. I just got my 09' SEUC (Autumn Haze/High Octane Orange) about a month ago and have 6600 miles on her already. I took her to Glacier Nat'l park, thru Yellowstone, and home to Ohio thru Utah & Colorado. She did very well and I had no problems. I traded an 00' UC with 83k miles on her and it was nice to take a trip and have no problems. I look forward to being a member on here and learning as much as I can.

Thanks,

Opee

Welcome to the site. I agree, just enjoy the bike and put extra warranty on it, just in case. :drink:

Well I finally got around to snapping a few pic's of the new bike.  Bike is starting to feel better,  Had to purchase different highway mounts, but finally got them so they are now comfortable.  Worked on the backrest mounting bracket and got that adjusted where it is now comfortable.  Decided not to go with the Rinehart slip ons.  Going to wait on the Rinehart true duals,  hopefully will be on the market by the first of the year,  at least that's what they are telling me.  So for now all I can suggest is turn up the radio and ride on.
