I saw Keyboard at Sturgis.  I spoke to the owner, who was supervising the off-loading of bikes, and it seemed like a 1st class operation.  He demonstrated his system for securing the bikes and it looked fail-proof, unless the truck turned over.  He also mentioned he is the transporter for some smaller motorcycle companies that can't afford to have their own trucks.

If you are a HOG member, there is some deal through HOG.  Believe the shipper is Federal

lower cost option to consider is Uship.com.  Basically like Ebay.  You post an ad to ship from point A to point B.  Shippers bid on it and you select the shipper.  Shippers have review ratings.  I shipped a bike this way and was very pleased.  The show Shipping Wars is based on Uship.com

I have used Federal in the past with excellent results, on time pick-up, drop-off and highly professional driver.

Keyboard has always been well recommended, but I don't think they are serving the west coast.  I have shipped twice in the last year to Florida from Washington state and have used Daily Direct both times http://www.haulbikes.com.  Have been very pleased with their service.  Last summer I paid about $600 (got lucky and they where running a special) and this winter about $800. Hope it works out.  Let's Roll
