Best stuff ever invented ! I haven't used water on the bike in over a year, BugSlide handles everything. IMHO it makes the bike shine better than Glare products.

You won't be disappointed!  I clean the bugs off right after a ride and the only time I need to take the hose and water to my MC is after I get caught in a rain.   :P

Neighbor bought some and used it on his truck, seems to me to be a remarketed silicone with a cleaner additive. Sorry but I will pass on spraying silicone on everything. Oh his windshield now has a "pattern" where the wipers run, not a problem on the bike but when humid or dew it looks like crap.

BugSlide has NO silicone in it, straight from the company's mouth. They just won't tell you what IS in it.

I've been a Mequiers guy for years...but my wife has a 100% black 69' beetle and it leaves a film and streaks.  I had bought some BUG SLIDE for the bike as a "all purpose" detailer for on the road.  Used it on the Beetle and it made the black look deeper and cleaner than ever....no film...no residue.  I need to order a "bulk pack" from them....vs. paying stealership price for bottles.  I love it.

I still use Mequiers other products, but Bug Slide works!

Nothing special (that I know of) about their micro-fiber clothe... I've used other micro-fiber clothes w/the same results.

I also use it I keep a small pump bottle of it that I got through iron pony motorsports it came with the microfiber cloth I keep it in my right side lower.  I show up for a local bike night pop it out spray off the fairing and wipe off them little bugs to shine my bike right up.  You will need to by it by the gallon cause your buddies will be borrowing it all the time if they hang out at your house like the seem to do at mine.  Some how my fridge always has extra beer in it also so I guess there is a trade off unless some cheap skate brings over natural light.   :drink:

I'm on my second gallon.  Seems to work better if I apply it enough to get the bugs and dust off, let it dry for a minute or two, then use a dry micro fiber cloth to polish or buff it.  That seems to leave a better shine on the paint and chrome.

Good stuff, I tried it the first time this summer and will agree it works really good. Don't think I'm ready for a gallon though unless I started using it on the other vehicles as well. Course you folks that live in more buggy states prolly need it more often. How does it work on the old Love Bugs?

That would be correct on pricing but have found most people don't like the price of 1 gallon plus the shipping cost nor do they go thru enough of it to buy in such a volume at a time.  Most may use 32oz or up to 64oz during a riding season.

That may be true for those north of the Mason Dixon Line, but in the deep south one bike night ride will consume a 32oz bottle on just the front-end, LOL.  :2vrolijk_21:

Bug Slide is good stuff.

An alternate we get around here is "Cajun Shine" which works just as well at bug removal.  here's their site if your interested[url]http://www.cajunshineall.com/url]

I've used both for years and they work equally well. :2vrolijk_21:

Those must be some bad a** bugs.  In that case, I stand corrected that it may depend upon how buggy your riding conditions are in how much you may consume.  It does work great on whatever your bug volume may be.   :bananarock:

Quick question Bug Slide users...We just waxed our bikes with Ultra Blue, should we put the Bug Slide on before we ride, or just use it to clean after we ride, and will this take the wax off.  I just love the Ultra Blue and was wondering if I should use their Detailer to maintain the shine?  I already bought the Bugslide, just not sure when to apply it as we don't want to ruin our Ultra Blue shine, it did an awesome job.  Judy?

Sue, BugSlide won't remove the wax!  Use it as soon as you get home to get the bugs off when they are soft.  It still works just as good the next day but it is easier when they are soft.

X3 on using it after each ride... (also carry a small bottle on the bike and use it if I notice to many bugs while I'm out riding). I park the bike wait for it to cool off some and then get a cold refreshment (:drink:) and "Bugslide" the bike and put the cover on it.

That has not been my experience. Are you wiping it on and immediately wiping it off or waiting for it to dry? I wipe it on w/one microfiber cloth and immediately wipe it off w/another... haven't experienced any streaking at all.

Yes, I do... Are you waiting until the bike cools down (especially the chrome engine parts)? I use it after each ride (as long as I don't get caught in the rain). I put the bike up, plug in the battery tender, let it cool down (hour or more), then get a cold drink and go use the product on the bike while I enjoy the cold beverage :beerchug: After that I put the cover on it.

Got a question about this "Bug Slide".  If a bug gets this stuff on him, and he falls to the ground, and I happen to step on him, will I immediately slip and fall on my azz?

A nice coat of pure carnauba on a clean surface will also help bugs and other stuff slide right off btw.

Only if you have a "bug @$$". :P :D :D

I don't think any of us (at least me) are saying/implying that this product replaces a good wax job. This is a quick detail product that can be used between those full detail (washing and/or waxing).

I have been using a product called Slick Mist Speed Wax that is made by Lucas Oil for nearly as long as I have been riding my Harleys (5 yrs). I have been more than happy with it because of the cost and effectiveness. It is a spray on, wipe off product that is pleasant and easy to use. But just like anything else, you're always wondering if there is anything out there that is better. So while reading about cleaners that other riders are using I came across this product called Bugslide. It got many good reviews so I broke down and bought a trial supply. Although it did work good, and left a slick feeling on the surface of the bike. I didn't find that it was that much better that it was worth the cost that is about 2.5 times the cost of my Slickmist. I clean my bike after every ride as I feel that it would be a shame to let something so beautiful not look it’s best. Needless to say, I use quite a bit of the stuff. As most people do, I research what I buy to get the most for my money. After spending hours looking around, I have found that SPEEDWAY MOTORS is the cheapest of anyone.  On a product such as this it doesn’t matter where you get it because it’s all going to be the same thing. Typically, you will see this product at Walmart or Autozone at around 8 to 9 dollars for a 24 oz bottle. At Speedway, it is $6.99. If you want an even better price, you can buy it by the case (6 bottles) for $38.99 witch brings the cost down to $6.49 a bottle. When I normally use 15 to 20 bottles a year, the savings make it worth buying by the case. Who doesn’t like saving money??

I have used Bugslide for many years and have found it works on old dried bugs as good as fresh ones!  But, I believe it’s an individual choice and what ever works for you is the BEST deal.  ;D
