Which instruments are missing ? i guess air-temperature , and perhaps oil-pressure or volt-meter ?
There is the ugly rear light at the skunk-bike - again , damn , that will be the way we will get it here in germany .
Would you say that one can use the lowers in vivid black or is this a different black on the skunk ( they call it Starfire-Black )?
They should have done the engine-guard in black too and the floorboards and the foot-controls .
Hmmm , nice bike . :-\
-
See those two chrome things on either side of the tank console? ;) One's a gas cap and the other is the gas gauge, the other missing instrument. In addition to the inner fairing air temp gauge.
-
I think the bike looks just fine without the gauges that are missing. The tweeters fill the area just right and I hope they even work as well as they look. Really nothing about the looks I don't like. Now if they can get that wobble out of there,,,,,, :nixweiss:

The fuel gage is now in on the left side of the tank as you sit on the bike. The air temp is useless any ways so I think the tweeters are a good replacement for them.
I agree, black foot controls might have looked real good on that.
I have not seen one yet, but from what I read there is some gold flake in the black like there is in the white.
-
With the name "Starfire", it's going to have some color of flake in it. Might not be noticealbe until it's in the sun, but it'll be there. Like the "Black Ember" on the 2011 SERGU which has red flake in it, but you can't see it unless the sun is shining on it.

Thought I read where lowers would not fit due to the heavy breather.
Nice videos highjagger.

They only will fit with i.e. the ventilator AC , which will be at the german bike-version i guess .
Phoned the dealer for a price when my Silver ghost would be exchanged -hmmmm waiting on an answer

there is a version of the heavy breather that does work with lowers, but not if you have speakers

True. I have not been able to find where you can just by the shorter elbow which is the difference between the two kits.
I would hate to have to buy the whole thing.
-
the intake tube is the same on both models, the difference is the filter.

:2vrolijk_21: The intake tube comes in either chrome or black, but they are both the same length. As Larry said, the only difference between the standard model and the compact model is the filter element kit and the rain sock.

Well that sucks.
Means if you want to run lowers, you can not run the nice filter cover that comes on the 12 CVO roadglide.
-
The one on the cvo's is the shorter version so you can run lowers but not with speakers

I hope you are correct, but that is not what I am reading on the color matched lowers for the 12 FLTRXSE.
I really like that air filter set up. I also want to run lowers for the colder months.

The part # you need is 28716-10

Thanks Larry. I figured I would have to change it. :(
